FSR XC going to Stumpjumper FSR Evo

I been mountain biking for 3 years now on my 2010 FSR XC Comp bike.
I like to get 2014 Stumpjumper FSR Evo 29, when it comes out, trying to understand how much of the difference should I expect from more expensive bike.
The geometry of FSR XC looks the same as stumpjumper, component wise I probably would not be able to tell the difference because I never had any complains about my current bike. So far the only thing I change on it is tires.

I got more aggressive with my riding style and feel like the bike slows me down. So the question is will I benefit from getting a stumpjumper with all bells and whistles or I am better of upgrading to a new fork and installing a dropper + lighter rims?

2012 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert EVO 29 PRICE DROP! - Pinkbike

Short drive to PA and it would be half the money of a 2014

Components wise your 2012 looks the same as 2014.
    $3300 is a price for a new 2014 Evo.
    Or I don't understand something?

The 2012 is the expert level, fork, wheels, crank, drive train, vs the comp build.
