I have Rock Shox Lyrik R on my 2011 S-Works Enduro and am going for a RC2 fork - Lyrik is the best economical solution as Fox's Talas and Float are almost twice the price (and Float is white - we can't have that ).
the weight is around same area (Fox 36 and RS 35 chasis) - plus I ride Lyriks for a while now and really like the feel of the fork.
but - was thinking of putting 170 mm form instead 160 mm one.
any experiences with that, fellow S-Works riders?
I also ride '09 SX Trail (solo frame option) and I really miss that centimeter of travel on Enduro that I have on SXT (coil Lyrik RC2 DH).
before I didn't take seriously into account when other riders complainted about stuff like that. I thought come on... one centimeter... ONE?
but now I know I was wrong, as I really feel it missing, especially when I nose dive into drops and similar. it's not that big of a deal, but would prefer 170 mm fork as I would feel more confident.
what is the limit on putting extra travels to carbon S-Works bikes?
on SXT I was told I could 'legally' go up 10% from 160 mm - which would be 176 mm of travel.
does the same work for carbon frames?
