epic 29er brain cable rub noise/creaking

    i have a 2012 s works epic 29er.

i've been trying to track down some creaking/clicking noise. i think it's the brain cable rubbing against the frame.

i was thinking of putting some sort of tape on the frame that is even more slick than regular cable rub tape. anyone have any ideas if there is some sort of tape like this?

anyone else fix this for their epic/brain?

I put some thick 3m tape (the spongy stuff) there, but also if you shift the brain mounting around you can 'improve' the line slightly and it won't rub as much!

Loosen the brain and also the hose connector under the LHS seat stay. Then check that the metal shield mounted on the RHS of the lower shock mount is firmly guiding the metal brain hose. Move it about until the hose is pushed away from the seat stem and the tighten everything up.

Bottom line is there is not much clearance there, but there shouldn't be any rub.
