well , you can change it -----but you need to make sure that if you get a ck ---or what ever you chose ,

that you get the oversized cups for the specialized head size.

most head sets are 33.9mm ---you will need the 34.1mm cups to correctly fit tightly in the head .

you need to ask for this oversized cup size generally -------

Why are you wanting to change out the Headset? If the bearings are bad you can get bearings the fit the headset from Enduro for $16.00 each and not have to worry about anything else involved with changing a headset

Go heavy duty Stainless Steel Cups like this:

    http://www.crankbrothers.com/directsets_opiumsl.php

Cane Creek 110 is a good looking head set with 110 year warranty as well.

The Enduro SL uses 1 1/8" threadless, Campy spec integrated sealed cartridge bearings. They drop into the frame.

make sure you get the oversized cup for your head or it will spin loose and you will have a click and creak you can not find -----( and oval out you head tube in your frame )---

and i believe it only comes in one color

    Where to buy?

    Kelstr:

Where do you get the oversize headset?

I changed mine from stock, now it is creaking and driving me crazy. I have an '03 Enduro base model. Where can I confirm that I need the oversize headset-or not?

you should always measure the steering tube holes ----and of course the old cups that came out of the tube if you have them -------if the cup measures 34.1 or so mm then its the oversized , ---if the cup measures 33.9 or so it is the smaller one .

the last one i did for a customer , i had to call ck and spacifically ask for the oversized cups ----and he had me give him the measurments of the holes .

and at that time they only had black -------they may make other colors now i do not know .

but yes, they will creek , spin and can ovalize you head tube in quick order .

i also locktight the cups in the head tube .
