Finished the swap of all the parts except the fork, seat clamp, and caliper spacers from the Large Epic Evo to the S5 Stumpjumper S-Works frame. Every part was compatible and a direct swap except the above mentioned 3 parts. Not including the need for a longer rear brake hose due to added length of frame.

Epic Evo Weight w/o pedals and bottle cages or swat tool: 10.14kg / 22.35lb

Stumpjumper Weight w/o pedals and bottle cage: 11.16kg / 24.60lb

Exactly 1,200gm / 2.65lb heavier

Key build features:
S-Works S5
Fox 34 Factory
XO1 AXS Drive train w/ Quarq PM
AXS Dropper
Magura Trail SL
XR4 Team 2.4 814gm
Duke 30mm w Extralite Hyperboost3 hubs and Berd Spokes 1062gm

Just picked this up for lift/shuttle parks near me.

2016 Demo 8 S-works. Put the progressive link and a new DHX2 on it with 650lb spring (I’m a Clyde lol). I don’t jump at all but I love tech and the shuttle parks in Arkansas and Branson are rocky AF so I had the suspension shop in Bentonville set it up as a marshmallow. That 200/200 is sooooooo nice and squish!

Also went 200/200 rotors. Does anyone know if you can go bigger than that on the 16 Demo8?

I decided to completely overhaul my old 2011 Stumpjumper comp. The frame should have well over 15k hard miles, and the bike showed it. The original headset was well past the point of replacement and the fork hasn't been serviced since ~2013. Avid elixir brakes were partially seized and the rear hub was gone, but it remained rideable. With that said, the front wheel being completely original - showed no issues whatsoever.

The geometry with its 71.5 HTA are really outdated by today's standards, so this was a passion project. I also found the 2012 Specialized bike catalog to go along with the build (sadly missing my model by one year...)
