    Custom pieces for Specialized

I bought a new Epic comp, and I noticed that some pieces are custom made for Specialized such as the crank(shimano), bottom bracket, wheels(dt swiss) and pedals(crank bros). Are those good quality pieces of mechanics or is it worth upgrading? Sorry for the newb question.

If you can't tell, then there is no reason to upgrade them right now.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.

In a lot of cases, the "custom for specialized" just means a custom color

the cranks are the previous XT model cranks, nonbranded.
pedals are matching colors, same with headset. dont know for sure on wheels, but probally same deal.

they are all good parts, might need to upgrade to nicer crank bro pedals as the ones supplied are the cheapest ones.

I think your talking about the expert. The comp has some sort of LX crank.
