Crack in my 04 S works Enduro frame

Well the frame lasted me almost 2 years but last night while cleaning it I found a crack in one of the weld joints. Took it to my LBS and they confirmed it is cracked and we are awaiting Specialized response as to what they are going to do to replace it. I should know something tomorrow.

Around two years seems to be the magic age for those frames. Mine also cracked after roughly two years, at the weld between main pivot and left "chainstay".
Mine was replaced with a new -04 brain version (the original was an -03) no questions asked :-)
Took a good five months to get the frame though but that probably has more to do with the swedish importer Grahns...

Bunny hopping the chain at Blankets?? haha

My friend has cracked his 2000 Big Hit (predecessor to the Enduro - 5" travel) 4 times.

    Seat Mast
    Chainstay x 2
    head tube

Specialized has replace the entire bike once, the main-frame once and the chainstay twice with no questions asked.
    Nothing to see here.

Best of luck. I know the feeling. I am frameless myself right now. Hopefully they treat you well!

Update, my new frame is in today, now thats some fast service!

I have to say I am really impressed with how they handled the whole thing. Not only did I have my new frame in less the 4 working days but the frame came with a new rear shock, Thomson seat post, and chainstay protector.
