    Command post cable route

I have a 2010 Enduro EVO. I went to a 1x drive train and wanted to run the seat post cable along the down tube where the front derailuer cable was. The reason for it is the frame was scratched to **** or at least bad enough that I didn't like it , from the cable running along the top tube.

Have any of you guys run it in another location beside the top tube? Wonder how the slack cable worked out in the down position. Did it interfere with pedaling or was it ok?

    looking for some ideas......

When I had a command post I ran the cables with the rest of the cables on the downtube and up the seat tube, single ring up front as well so it took the place of the FD cable. The slack was okay and never got it the way. I kept the cable slack to the minimum, just enough to compensate the post at full length and shocks at full compression.
