    Ouch!
Was that from a crash or did it get "bumped" by somthing?
My firend cracked his Specialized Devent Helmet in a crash and if I remember correctly he got a full warrenty.
Might want to give Specialized a call on monday

I wish I still had my ski helmet, completely cracked in half on an impact with the ground, it was 3 days old. Grade III concussion as well. ER Dr. said I probably would'nt be around anymore if I had'nt been wearing it.

surprisingly my bike is mostly okay. I broke my fancy $200+ saddle that I just got a month ago, which sucks, but I am surprised at how well the rest of the bike held up.

man I feel like ****, but I ordered one of the last Colorado made Yeti AS-R frames to replace the rockhopper which at least gives me something to look forward to.

finally, a bike with a soul

That looks quite bad. How did you end up crashing? With all that damage on the front of the helmet was it a face plant or did the helmet twist round from the impact?

It's always after a crash like that where you wish you had been wearing a full face helmet instead of an open face one. Shame they're not practical for everyday riding.

not really sure what happened, I guess the concussion knocked the memory of it out of me

yeah, I could have definitely benefited from a full-face, but I'd have looked a bit strange wearing my giro remedy and spy klutch while riding my road bike in full lycra

as for the rockhopper, I'm going to transfer the parts over to the yeti. No concrete plans for the frame yet... maybe I'll make a rigid SS out of it to hone my handling skills. In the meantime it will make a nice mantelpiece
