Chainstay Pivot Bolt Seized: 06 Specialized Epic Marathon

All started with a little play in the drive side drop-out pivot, tried to take the bolt out and started bending wrenches. Gave up after several hours and took it to the LBS who had quite an effort as well, but managed to get it out and fixed the play. Figured I'd have them give a go at the non-drive side and they BROKE wrenches and still couldn't get it out. I've had these bolts out in the past to repack the bearings and use a torque wrench to get recommended tightness. I have an 04 comp (M4) and no issues, maybe something to do with the M5 metal? Anyone have a similar epic issue and able to resolve it?
