CCDB for 2010 -2012 Enduro - Cane Creek want to know your interest, show it here.
Was on the Cane Creek Lounge live chat with Specialized development bods Brandon Sloan and Jason Chamberlain and the good people of Crank Creek. I asked this question:
"Will there be a legacy option to fit a CCDB air or coil to the 2010-2012 Enduro? The people demand it! ;-)"
Cane Creek replied:
"Martin, this is something that we are looking into. We are still gauging the interest to do the custom parts required."
So basically we need to show some strong interest if we want this to happen.
Must say the chat was really good with many questions answered inlcuding the very valid reason for no small 29er enduro, no 650b bikes yet etc. Top job

How do we show the interest? Do we write to them? I made contact a while back also asking on an option (coil or air) for the SX Trail and they said was not going to happen.

Interest is shown by activity on here. If it is reasonable then I will fwd it to CC for a nosey but doubt it will get the traffic required. Also put in on PB forums.
Don't know if there is a transcript available. The point was that although 650b is half way between sizes the perceived advantage was not half way between the sizes and was closer to 26". As they are getting such good feedback and rolling benefits from the 29 they have not yet released a 650b bike. The inference was that they have been riding 650b Stumpys and Enduros and could be pushed by market demand in future.

I've been waiting for this...they should be able to tell by how many times I check back and try to find a 2012 enduro on their shock-finder section of their website.

Being able to get 26 Enduro in XL, AND being able to put on the DB Air was one of the main reasons for getting 2011 Enduro. So I'm patiently waiting for the DB Air release.
I was really excited when I saw this post, and the CC guys confirmed the upcoming release: Major Change « HarleyDougFerguson
The shock mounted is a custom one, with reduced stroke. (a friend of mine successfully runs 222 x 64 mm shock, I believe you could also have the DB Air in this config, but I'd rather wait for the official package).
So, where do I apply for preorders? ;-)

I have sent numerous email to them. It is surprising that they are still on the fence on this one since the responses I have gotten have said that they are working on it and will have a press release when these shocks are ready, sometime in the late spring, I think is what I was told. I bought a new 2010 XL frameset for that very reason...I hope they do not go back on their word as I am super stoked to purchase one of these shocks...Please CC make this shock!

Any new news on this? I sent them another email and all I got was that they are still developing this (R&D.) Please Cane Creek. Like I said earlier, the reason I bought the frame I did was because you let the world know that you were developing this shock. Please make this available and if you have changed your mind, could at least let us know so that we can look at other options. Thanks.

I am pretty sure you can get one. Is only from 2010 that is hard to get due to their proprietary shock yoke.
