Speaking of scams, saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=230410186322

Does anyone really fall for this stuff?

was that the medium 09 SW Epic? when i saw it this morning for $88 i was interested but suspicious, after i'd looked to see what other items were for sale by the same seller it was almost funny - in half an hour the listing went up to over $22,400

ebay's now a den of crooks and non-paying highest bidders - argh!

Yeah that was it. It was at 55K when I saw it. I think people were running up the price to keep anyone from falling for it.

I see lots of suspicious bikes on ebay. One of the reasons I spent extra and bought one new. I think the mtbr classifieds are more trustworthy but you still have to be careful.

I sold a S-Works a month ago on Ebay, and the winning buyer ended up not being legit after Paypal OKed me to ship it. I'm still trying to get my money back from them, and I can't find the bike using the tracking number. I hate selling stuff online...
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in his shoes...
That way, when you criticize him you're a mile away and you have his shoes.
