Probably not till october, but your dealer should be able to see at least some models already. Certain 18s are already in shops.

Thanks brother , I'll swing by my shop and see what's up. I'm interested to see if they went with a threaded bb.

Some 2018 Fuse models are already available. Google 2018 Fuse. Several big specialized dealers have them on their websites already...no changes from last year on the two top carbon models.

There are tons of great 27.5+ hardtails on the market now. I definitely wouldn't limit myself to the Fuse either. I checked out a Chameleon the other week. It's nice. Geometry was too low and slack for me. Get a test ride if you can. I ended up buying one of the new Niner SIR9 frames to build up 27.5+. Check out the 27.5 plus forum...lots of great discussion and pics.

If you're gonna press-fit, aluminum is better the CF in my opinion. Al holds it's tolerance better, is less likely to fret if the cup moves and you can loctite the cup in.
    Do the math.

I'd like to get a Specialized if all possible , because that's what my lbs sells. I get a pretty good price break.
Wheels Mfg makes a PF30 that screws together , I forgot about that.

Nice! didn't see that option - this may be a problem for my bank account, although I do like the Fuse and have a great Specialized shop nearby.........

I wish they would also offer a non-plus "regular" 29er option of the fuse. Like what Santa Cruz does with its Chameleon. There's much to like about the more slack geometry and longer fork on the Fuse versus more race-oriented Epics but not everyone wants plus tires. Should be easy to simply offer the bike with a different 29er wheelset
