New question here. 2015 Enduro 29 in two aluminium versions?!

    Hey guys.
Rumor has it, that Spesh will launch the '15 enduro in two different aluminium versions.

First one looks live the '14 with a 1x10, second one seems to be better "equipped".

    Anyone heard something about it?
    News are from Downhill911 btw...

That link was loaded with pictures. I'm sure we're not far away from hearing about the rest of the 15 lineup. Good find.

I wouldn't think too much about it. They might be trying out different configurations, and one might be the euro spec. Interesting though that it looks like they're only using the fox and DBInline shock on the enduro, no DB Air.

There are some 'in the wild' shots of a couple 29ers that are fitted with DB Airs. I'm curious about what will end up on stock models though. If the inline performs as well as the air, why not? It's lighter, I think.

Anxious to hear some info about the formal product spec when Specialized has it's dealer event in a few weeks. It looks to me like some spec is a mix and match deal; i.e., X1 cranks/rings w/11-36 cassette? Guide levers (assuming) and rotors with elixir calipers? - Bear in mind, this is just from looking at the pics however, mostly guesswork.

    Seems pretty simple to me.

There's probably a comp and elite model. Just like the Stumpjumpers.

Upon closer look, is the bottom/elite one rocking a cane creek? If that's the case I might have to pass up the '14 Comp I've got my eye on and wait until next Season for that.

    You may just be right.
It`s a pity, there are no high res spyshots.

The blue/black one is probably not THAT cheap. It has the Command post, nice wheels and good brakes.

I hope that I can snatch a 26" Enduro frame in black somewhere later this year ;-)

Probably not - looks like it's 1x11 and maybe has a CC shock too. That said, if they can wiggle it in under or around $5k I might actually consider it.

Damn - the original link is gone. Spesh must be sending out takedowns like crazy. Way to live up to the stereotypes, fellas.

Same here, if the "cool one" will range below 4.000Euro I'll buy it.

Got some news from my concept store...
They`ll definitely offer 2 alloy versions.

    Comp in 650B and 29
    Elite in 650B and 29

Specialized hasn't officially pronounced the specs and pricing, but the comp is expected to be remaining around 3500USD(~3000 Euro), while the Elite is supposed to be launched "around" 5000USD(4000-4500Euro).

My Concept Store promised that the full specs, color options, pics and prices will be available NLT next Thursday (the 17th) but possibly some days earlier, maybe on sunday.

The geo hasn`t changed. The sizes remain the same.

What I'm curious about is if the 650b will come in XL or if the taller guys who dont want a 29er get screwed again.

That's exciting news. I was planning on scooping up a 2014 Comp my LBS has and dropping $1,500 into upgrades, but now I'm thinking I'll just wait and see what this has in store. My guess is I'll still need to upgrade the brakes.

I got an XL on the first shipment of the 2015 bikes to London. The guy at the shop said the comp is "gloss charcoal & cyan" so i think the colors above might be for another region.

I also heard the elite was going to be £4500

I'm probably being a bit whiny here, but I feel like a $3,500 bike should have SLX at least. That's still a nice upgrade from the spongy Sram garbage on last year's model.

I know those are supposed to be a huge step up for Sram, but I'd likely still ask the shop to simply install some XT's or XTR's from the get go so I could sell the Guide's and brand new and not worry about what I'm actually getting. To each their own though.

I really hope the Elite comes in black the way the '14 comp does now!

    Wow.
That`s the price of the `14 expert Carbon, right?
    That IS expensive.

That's what I was thinking. That's like $6,000. I'm really hoping they keep it around $5,000; that would be a killer deal.

Looking at current pricing the Expert Carbon is $6,600, but the Expert Evo is $5,800. I'm guessing it will be close to the latter. If it did wind up being that close to $6k it would make sense to just hop on it's carbon big brother.

I must admit the colour scheme of the white looks alright, but im sick of the black/blue combo.
