Cool!!! just frameset or complete!! There isn't complete in all black!!

Lbs friend told me that the frameset frame is different from the world cup complete edition bike!! in the WC u can't install a front derailleur and is lighter than the standard frame!!!!

I will try to get some pics this weekend and post them up.

I dont think there is a difference in the hardtail frame. The WC complete bike comes with the xx1. Look at the geometry for both WC and regular. It's the same, and for frameset, it matches the complete bike geometry. I know that the epic WC geometry differs from the regular version and cant mount a front derailleur on the WC epic but didnt think there was any difference in the hardtail frames. If you look at the spec website under the epic, it shows a world cup frame and a non-world cup frame for sale. It does not list 2 separate framesets under the stumpjumper page. This would lead me to believe that the frame is the same, however I am not 100% sure. I just ordered the frame and wasnt given the option but if there are 2 different models then I have no idea which one I got.

I think that there is a difference. U can't buy the WC edition as a frameset the difference is not in geometry! LBS friend told me that in the complete bike s-works stumpjumper ht WORLD CUP frame u can not install a front derailleur so maybe this WC frame is lighter and the s-works stumpjumper frameset is not the world cup edition!!
A guy in Spain have the complete wc bike he said 19.44lb for L size with heavy seat and tires!! is a great weight but I will buy the S size so maybe will be 18.5 lb I hope so

Just got my 2014 S Works WC hardtail last night, so they are starting to come into the shops. It's very light, and looks great. I took it on a 9 mile climb here in SoCal, and it felt great right out of the box. Good luck everyone getting their bikes, it was worth the wait!

Got mine yesterday and was able to get a nice little 20 miler in. Awesome bike! Climbs great, plenty comfortable for a hard tail, turns on a dime and decends solid as well. All this at 19lbs with pedals!

My previous S-Works medium is 1170g on the same scales, so they have certainly added some meat.

My 2012 SW SJ HT in large weighs less than 1400g as well. I wonder why S added heft to the frame. I don't find that my SW SJ HT flexes really at all.

I think there is scale issue. The medium SJ HT that came in with Epic on the same delivery was 1075.

I stripped everything off the frame last night and re-weighed it using two sets of scales. 1352g with nothing but bear carbon and the mech hanger.

I then got my old stumpy frame which is already prepped ready to be sold. It came out at 1172g.

So I don't think there is a scale issue. I wish there was!

MY 2013 was 1120 but Small!! I saw this bikerumor post some time ago and there was a frame sw Stumpjumper HT – 1180g they do not say the size but looks like a medium and that make sense a 60gram difference between the small and the medium but 1300 or more is not right!! check this link!!

No, I dont have a scale. Remember that the through axle will weigh more, if you didnt remove it before weighing

Year to year is not necessarily going to be lighter. Spec moved to a new frame design for 2014. Expecting it to be lighter than the previous year is overly optimistic and naive.

My wife's size small arrived at the shop yesterday. It's the stealth all black version and looks really good in person. 1290g for the frame, seat clamp, and bottle cage bolts. So, it's a little heavier than last year's model.

    Pics soon!

Thanks for that. Ties in roughly speaking with the weight of mine.
Appears they have added some extra material, hope it translates into extra stiffness.

    Carbon Ti x-lock qr15 axle
    Tune Wassertrager uni cage

Brilliant! So you think the better handling makes up for the extra weight?

Have you saved your new toys from your previous post for a less muddy day?

could be.. I love light bikes, but after 3 rides u can feel the stability and the power transfer in the frame I like the way the bike climbs!! really like it

The handlebar is installed is awesome I was afraid to use a wider bar but at 700mm is perfect I love it!!! I will install the cage soon but this carbon specialized cage is really light too!! it weights 19g :O and the carbon ti axle only will install with the rovals in race days!!!
The problem is that the original axle uses a hex 6mm key and the carbon ti axle uses a 5mm so I will have to buy the x12 carbon ti rear axle too so u have to carry just one hex key and is lighter than a complete multi hex tool

It is just stupid that Specialized installed a rear axle that requires a tool. Last Epic had a DT Swiss quick release axle.

Ditch the axle that came on your new wonder bike and get a DT Swiss RWS for X-12 as I did. Weighs 65 gr. One that came on bike weighs 39. Ditch the tool that you'll need only for that bolt anyways and when you are in a race you'll save a minute fiddling with an allen key!

    Cool-blue Rhythm Warranty Frame

I originally bought a 2012 Specialized Stumpjumper expert, (the only thing left stock from that original bike is the stem and the cranks) I cracked it and got a 2011 S-works frame At the end of this season gone (southern hemisphere) I cracked the 2011 S-works frame, a month of waiting and.... 2014 Specialized S-Works Stumpjumper HT Arrivals?-1836715_10201679042209601_1836993153_o.jpg the new frame is here building it up with Fox forks XTR groupset - minus shifter. Wheelworks Flite Wheels and easton bar and seatpost. 1 x 10!! Will post up pics of finished build. Anyone else have a custom build going on or everybody purchasing full bikes, would be keen to see some other custom built ones !

You have a link for that front thruaxle? Definitely like that better than the stock one.
    Thanks.
