My source said summer 2014 for '15 models. Specialized will probably have prototypes at Sea Otter.

I haven't heard any definitive news on new Stumpys...they tend to keep info on upcoming bikes pretty hush hush until they're released. Per usual...you'll see the 2015 bikes this summer around July or August.

When I go to bed every night I say a little prayer for a 27.5 stumpy evo with a short Enduroish rear end and a pike for under $3500. HA!

    2014 27.5 stumpy

I once read an article that mr specialized himself said they would never build a 27.5 as there is not value. But that same person once said they won't move to the 29er also so take it for what it's worth.

There is value in supply and demand. If the sheep will buy it, it will be made!

I work at a specialized dealer, something is coming and sooner than the normal 2015 release I believe. That is all I know, well I also know that there is a Specialized meeting thing going on right now, the rep for our shop is away to the US until monday.

Your going to ride and hopefully enjoy your 26"...its not like they dont work anymore. Personally I've ridden all the wheel sizes and 26" for me is still the most fun, and that's what matters the most.

my husband put a rigid fork on his 26" hardtail and uses it to race short track - it's light, handles great in the tight turns and accelerates fast. Your mileage may vary.

Well, personally I plan to continue riding the piss out of my 26er.

I work at a Specialized dealer, as well. I'm not hearing any buzz whatsoever about 27.5 bikes. The last thing I heard about them was Specialized tested 27.5 prototypes and didn't feel the need to make them, as they were focusing on 29ers.

I heard from an inside source specialized will be releasing a 31er. It will blow all the wheels sized critics to shame.
