2012 Stumpy FSR 29 Comp Triad 2 options

Hey guys, this question is pretty complex and I have read bits and pieces of information on many many threads but I need to get to a conclusion here with your help. I've been on the bike for about 4 months now, and I need your help and guideance. So far I LOVE the bike, with the exception of the brakes.

I'm considering dropping some cash into the bike on XT/ice tech, possibly Hope2/Arch's and then I need to budget some cash for suspension maintenance this winter. Even with only budgeting for two of those items I figure a minimum of $700 investment.

I've been eyeballing 650B bikes as well and may chose to go another route next year in the spring. That being said, what concerns me the most is the rear shock upgradeability on this bike. I'm not sure I want to invest in it fully if the Triad is going to leave me hanging with no other options and I want to know those options now.

If the shock goes today, am I correct in saying I will have to rely on Speshi to sell me another? Are there any other options out there? I hear Push wont touch a Triad 1 or 2? Should I go ahead and try to locate one on ebay somewhere and just hold it in stock and invest away? Hindsight is always 20/20, but I dont want to sink a bunch more money into the bike if the proprietary Shock is really this big of an issue on this specific bike. I'd rather move on to something that is more long term and buildable.

    Make sense? Thanks in advance.

The Triad 2 on my 2012 Camber is 7.875 by 1.9" (or 200mm x 48.5ish). As a spare, I bought an RP23 at 200mm by 51mm, M, M with boost of 215 (I weigh 90kgs). Works really well. No frame clearance problems. I can't tell the difference to the OEM when riding with it (both offer excellent climbing with little bob).

However, there was no yoke problem to contend with. Also, I did have to buy a custom after market bushing from TFTuned for the bottom eyelet (12mm by 25mm).
