2012 Demo8 Headset size - Help!

Hi there, I´ve googled and asked "experts" and tried contacting some local specialized dealers and nobody can confidently respond this:

I am trying to find out the correct headtube diameter of a 2012 Demo8.

The reason i sI want to run a Fox40 in these (No I wont botter with the RS Boxxer) and I dont want to use the ridiculous specialized bumpers.

One mechanic told me I need a Cane Creek external bottom cup model: EC49/30/H12/K which I understand is for a Headtube inside diameter of 49mm- Another mechanic told me the Demo8 has an HT ID of 56mm.

Can anyone please tell me confidently which is the correct cane creek external bottom cup I should get for the Demo8???

So finally, the HT Inside Diameter of the Demo8 is 49.5mm. That means that the EC49/30/H12/K external bottom cup fits allright, as well as the Hope 1.5 Type F Standard.

One question though. Some people are saying that the 2013 Demo8 carbon does not have any problems with the lower crown on the Fox 40s.

While the aluminum versions still have the same problem.

Can anyone confirm this rumor? and explain why?
