2012 Demo - other than Boxxer forks?

Hi there, We bought a demo 2012 and although it its being used with a boxxer, we are huge fan of marzochis 888 and fox 40. I understend that due to the frames shape no other fork can be used in this bike...

although I´ve seen pictures of 2012 demos used with 40s. I was checking the frame and the fox40 we own in our other bike (Scott gambler) I have noticed that the Boxxer has a drop lower crown which doesnt hit the frame, while the straight lower crown of the fox 40 would hit the frame directly.

It made me wonder if there are drop lower crown for fox 40 or the 888 that can be bought aftermarket?

Is anyone using the Demo with other forks, is it even possible not to damage the frame withe the other forks lower crowns?

You can use the fox 40 fork on the bike, I have one on mine, you just need the Specialized Bumpers for the 40 or else the lower crown hits the downtube.

Have you had any issues with dings using the speci bumpers? As I understand these bumpers are actually installed directly on the crown isnt it?

do you know if they can be ordered online somwehere?

I´ve seen this other solution, in ridemonkey, but no idea if it really works.

What about using a 2012 or 2013 Marzocchi 888 on the Demo? I´ve noticed the Marzocchis have a similar lower crown than the Boxxer.

Is anyone riding their Demos with any other fork brands?
