I'm not sure about the 'special edition' but I do know that they are triple oversold right now. At least that's what my LBS says.

As Kahiwa said availability is not great at the moment (as with many 2011 bikes from most big bike companies). Once they are available through specialized they should be for sale throughout the next year.

Even though it's not a "special edition" I think they are one of the best looking bikes for 2011 with a pretty amazing value/price. I just sold my GF Paragon and will be ordering my Stumpy HT Evo in the next few days.

Congrats. Does it look as good in person as on the website? Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Have fun with the new ride.

My understanding is the EVO line is limited edition/production which needs to be ordered by XXX? date.

Its not a special edition and will be available all year, thats if they can keep up with demand, which I doubt.

As for the 2011 models, the prices compared to the components on the bikes are insane, this is the year to buy a Specialized.

My LBS wants $4,000 for and enduro evo or $3,700 for an enduro expert, or $2700 for an enduro comp. With the components on these bikes, those are really competitive prices. I mean dam, my 2008 enduro sl comp listed at $3600.

2011 stumpjumper elite with the brain for $2800.
