2010 carbon frame marketing numbers
I've noticed some weirdness with how Specialized is marketing their different carbon frames. I tried contacting them about this but they ignored me.
Case #1: Stumpjumper Expert Carbon
Features: "FACT 9m carbon main triangle"
Technical Specifications: "FACT IS carbon 8M main triangle"
What does it say on the frame of the real bikes?
Case #2: Enduro SL Pro Carbon
Features: "9m carbon"
Technical Specifications: "FACT 10m carbon front triangle"
I'm curious what other people with non-Sworks bikes are seeing on their frame. I know of a couple of Stumpjumper Pro Carbons which say 9m on the specs but 8m on the frames.
People aren't going to want to hear this, but this is one of my issues with their website. There are so many errors like this its really really bad. I am amazed this stuff goes over in a business this big.
OK rant over.
I am pretty sure that all of their Sworks bikes are currently Fact10 and all other carbon bikes are Fact 9 at this point.
Well I was just getting my 2010 Expert Carbon 29er ready for tomorrow and on my frame it does indeed say fact 8m on it.
Their website clear shows it should be 9m in different places.
FACT 9m carbon Stumpjumper HT 29er frame with stiff, tapered head tube and 29" race geometry offers superb ride feel and performance in an incredibly lightweight package
Maybe the front triangle is 9m and the rear is 8m? I don't know, but clarification would be nice.
