    2009 Hardrock Sport Disc BB5 to BB7

I want to upgrade my BB5's to BB7's-

I'd like to mount a 160mm rotor in back, and a 185mm rotor in front if possible-

Will the 185mm fit in the front, if it does, will I need a special adapter?

And are Jagwire Brake Cables' worth the $$?

    Thanks-

Yes you do need an adapater. And I'm pretty sure it already has jagwire.
The bike is nothing more then circles turning circles, It's the human motor that makes it elegant.

    brake and cable upgrade

Just upgraded my 2005 Hardrock from BB5 to BB7. 185mm up front and 160mm in back, adapters come with the caliper and rotor. I also have Jagwire Ripcord cables for brakes and shifters...they are AWESOME!!!

Did it need any extra hardware like bolts, etc...?

No extra hardware needed, it comes with what is needed. What kind of levers are you using? I also upgraded to Avid Speed Dial 7 levers.

I upgraded my 09 Hardrock disc to BB7s. They came with all the hardware I needed to install them. i went with 185 in the front and 160 for the rear.

That's my plan too...after I ordered the 185, I got conflicting info regarding compatibility with the stock suntour fork (on my hardrock sport disc)-

    Thanks!

there are different models of jagwire housing, some are worthless, some are top-notch.

I would check your fork specifications to see if it is even engineered for a 185mm rotor. If it isn't, you risk voiding warranties and snapping something.

How would a larger rotor size snap something or void warranty?

some forks chassis are weak and can't handle the torque of a large diameter rotor (i.e. RS dart)

32mm stanchions are typically the minimum for 185+mm rotors (only rule of thumb)
