I'm pretty excited about the new rockhopper 29er group. Hopefully, and I'm sure it will given the components, this one will come in under 1k.

What is it with all the city-branded bikes? There's what, the Chicago, the New York, the London, and one or two others I think. What's up with that?

    Are they fixed-gear?

I particularly liked the looks of the New York.

The Tricross models are beginning to intrigue me. Tried one the other day at my LBS. Came away feeling good about it. One's not in the cards for this year, but there is always next spring.

I'm not so sure about the butterflies painted onto the women's models.

Always fun to have new bikes to peruse though.

the langster lineup looks sick. and yes, they are all fixed. looks like Specialized did their research on different city's styles of fixed geared and messenger bikes. props.

Yeah, each 'langster' is different. the seatlle comes stock with fenders (only dif to the new york other than paint, the boston and london are the same with dif. paint, while the chicago has bullhorn bars. Im diggin the london the most... All come with a flipflop wheel (fixed on one side, freewheel on the other). This is specialized pre release, with only a limited number of bikes. Come july I think is their more official release thing (kinda like a specialized interbike in utah), dealers only. They will show more come July, such as the Epic, SL, ect... Currently, only 1 model is available (the kids skateboard bike). But, ina month, other than the langsters, I think the rest will be available...
