    142+ spacing

I know that it has been discussed before, but I couldn't seem to find what I was looking for with the search function.

I have a set of Roval Control SL wheels and they are the 142+ spacing for my Epic.

I was wondering if it is possible to use the "plus" wheels on a standard frame with 142 spacing? I know that it would push it out the 2mm, but is there a spacer or something that can be changed to make them a straight 142 wheelset?

The other question: Is it possible to change the axle on the front to fit the standard 9mm quick release into a 15QR fork?

    Thanks for the reply.
From the diagram it looks like the 142+ cannot be altered to fit another frame.
Once 142+, always 142+, which seems to limit the Roval's application on different frames/bikes

142+ wheels do technically fit standard 142, but the cassette lockring rubbed the frame on the bike we tried them on.

The Roval should convert to 15qr no problem. You just need to order the proper endcaps for the wheels.

I have heard that 142+ may or may not work in a standard 142 frame. Just depends on how tight it is and if you have the clearance. Just like the compatibility guide shows, there are not 135 end caps to put on 142+ hubs.

There are Roval Control SL endcaps that do 9mm QR or 15QR. I have both. Right now I am running the 15mm endcaps with a DT swiss 9mm RWS thru-bolt using a 15mm to 9mm thru-bolt adapter I got on ebay.

not supposed to work, but will in certain circumstances. depending on the target frame and the clearance between the cassette and the stays.
