    142+ ???

What is 142+ on the stumpy evo? Can I use a standard 142x12 hub on a 2012 stumpy evo?

Everything you will need to know is in this thread:

    Specialized 142+ rear hub

Basically, you can use standard 142mm hubs, but you will need to adjust your rear derailleur to a more inward position. The cogs on the 142+ hubs are positioned slightly farther (2mm) out from the center of the hub.

You can use any 142 hubs on Specialized frames but 142+ hubs will ONLY work on Specialized frames.

that's more specialized proprietary crap; makes it aggravating to own a specialized sometimes. . .
