Good job! '13 Hardrock Sport 29er

Getting back into the MTB sceen with a Hardrock Sport 29er black 19".
So far, 12 miles worth, I'm loving it and excited to be back on a bike after 15+ years.

So on these new bikes anyone remove some of the color decals without leaving a mark or trace?
Slowly changing it up to make it mine...I know it's bought not built but it came with some great componants for an entry level hydro 29er.

Any other Hardrock Sport 29ers out there?
Post yer mods and personal touches.
So far I only have added a computer, water bottle, seat bag & Forte platforms.

    Burt

The Hardrock frame has rack mounts to :-)
Anyone do some "bikepacking" or just getten a 12er from the market, what rear rack works good? Not sure if I'm gettin one...had one years ago was helpful..handy to add to my list of options for trail cruzing...

I bought a 2010 Hardrock Sport Disc in late 2009, have thousands of miles on the bike and upgraded nearly everything on it. I recently bought a Carve Expert, but kept the Hardrock and turned it into a singlespeed.

... and I've taken the Hardrock bikepacking several times, with plans to keep doing so

I bought my fiance a '13 Myka Sport Disc 29er, if it makes you feel any better... its like the girl version of the Hardrock. I've already replaced the fork with a Recon Silver, put some Ergon GP2 grips on it, and she's put a Jett seat and rack on it(for bikepacking).

Huge difference. Been riding hard on it. Great value for what you get for $175 to say the least.

Cool..I'm at a bit of a disadvantage as the fork that comes with the HardRock = XCT coilspring, is my first ever. THis HR is my first hardtail bike. I have only ridden ridged bike before this one.

What should I look for that will be a sign I need to upgrade my fork like you did?
I'm a little dareing and I am eagar to advance from beeginer to whatever the next level is..bunny hill to blue runs I guess lol no black diamonds yet but I hope too some day...

The one i have now is the raidon LO 100mm air fork and it is for a standard 9mm skewers. But if you are going to upgrade your wheelset, they have the EPICON for the thru axle type hub. Give them a call 360-737-6450

    Whoaa...sorry bro I'm hella lame
    Standard 9mm skewers?
wheelset & thru axle type hub?
Ya I have a huge learning curve still...sorry

I do need some other stuff, like a bike rack & a helmet, before I can spend $$ on upgrades to items not broke...but once I get all my gear I need..then I can look to going to an air shock...
OK yer at 5 let see a pic of yer badboy LOL
    Thanks again for your time!!

    SWeeeeeet!!
Mine is the Black but I want to peel some of the red off :-)
Dang , I don't have any pics yet but it's perrty much factory except for the Forte platforms I put on.

Here is a random pic from google:
    '13 Hardrock Sport 29er-hardrock_zps85e67515.jpg

I took off all the reflectors and all stickers except the factory HR decal.
I think I am going to remove the XCT decal from the fork next.
Thanks for the pics! White looks good. That 3rd color with blue and orange looks a bit flashy for me and the black jsut blends in with the crowd so...hehee

safety first is always good practice. buy that gears before any upgrades. stiches on the head are not a fun to scratch. i learn that the hard way.

I have an old 2010 HR sport 26er, I turned her into a street only ride. Nice heavy tires for a trainer.

    Love it.
