    Hi Stumpy owners!

I ride a 09 Trek Fuel ex and I can't wait to upgrade to a Stumpjumper elite. Hopefully I'll get a deal on a 2012 model and I was wondering which size to go for: M or L. I'm 5'9" and my size at Treks is 18,5". Is somebody the same height as I am? What size do you ride?

    Thanks!

I am 5'9" as well and I ride a medium. It fits perfectly for me. Hope you can get a deal on yours. I got mine for 3500.

I ride a Trek Fuel EX 6 18.5" and I found that the Stumpy Elite in Large fit very well. It seemed like the reach of the Stumpy was a little bit shorter than that of the Trek but, it felt natural. I am 6'

You will notice a huge difference in the bikes percieved weight, not because of the scale weight but because of things like wheels weight and drivetrain, etc.
The stumpjumper is a higher quality bike, and it will feeltons faster your first few times out. The rotating weight on the bike is going to be quite a bit lower because of higher quality parts, so you won't regret the upgrade. I PROMISE
