    '09 Stumpy FSR Elite...

So I go into my LBS to price out some bikes (Pitch Pro, SJ FSR Comp). But the gent tells me that in my price range (~$2K) they have a leftover '09 SJ FSR Elite, in my size, for $2100.
    So whaddya think? Good deal?

    Get a 2010 Elite

Get a 2010 Elite... Most Shops have them for $2500 and I think they are great. No offense to the last year bikes BUT I had a 2007 Enduro, just demoed a 2010 Stump FSR Expert AND a 2010 Enduro Expert.

The 2010 Stump FSR is a perfect blend of do it all bike at 140mm travel and great climbing ability. I think $2100 is too close to $2500 when the bikes are so different.

I gotta agree with goingleft,my 2007 stumpy elite was out of my $2000 price range at $2500 and the comps were at $2000.I put my elite into layaway because I really wanted the elite over the comp.I had to wait but was happier with the elite.I do not have any experience with the exact bike's you are looking but I myself would go with the new frame designs in the 2010's.

    Good job!

Guess it's time to do some more research... I had no idea the SJs were redesigned for '10.

    Thanks for the info.
