    09 Fox 32 F100 RLC/Rockhopper Question..

When ordering or picking up this fork, will I need anything specific or do I just order the standard one. I know it will be cut to fit by the installer but I want to be sure before I pull the trigger. I have the 07 Hopper PRO and think this would be a sick addition. Let me know if I should be looking out for anything when purchasing these. Thanks

Do you have disc brakes? If your bike had rim brakes before, then you would need rim brake bosses on the fork as well. Other than that, the 100mm should be great.

Yeah, these babies cost a lot, but they sure work great! If you're going to pay that price, consider some of the online retailers. They'll give you a free headset with the purchase, and will normally charge no tax if you're out of state and no shipping if over certain amount. I bought my '08 F120RLC from Speedgoat.com and got a Chris King threadless headset included. If you're only swapping forks for your Rockhopper, you can sell the headset or save it for when you build/upgrade a new bike. Bob's Bicycles does the same, as well as Brands Cycle in NY. Most others who add the free headset will not be Chris King, but Cane Creek or Race Face.

I had a Rockhopper prior to my current bike, and installed a new fork myself. I'm by no means mechanically inclined, and it was pretty simple. You might give it a shot. I've foind that upgrading things on my bike is sooo much more rewarding if I can do it myself. Grab a buddy and a cooler and see what you can do!! All else fails take it to the shop if you can't get it done.

You can use your stock headset. As mentioned above though, if your going to buy this fork, get it online with a free Chris King.

My boss just got a 08 Stumpy HT and that kinda tossed me into the fork arena. I was mass-jealous.... I now point out my 10mm of travel over him and you.. LOL, just teasing...
That M5 frame is sick tho!!

Ahhhh. Love the M4 frame. Trying to drop a few grams or even lbs in the rear end.

I've got a Recon from an '08 FSR XC Expert. I've only ridden it a handful of times. Let me know what your willing to give for it.

Rode her for an hour or so yesterday and planned on another today but plans changed. I must say, what a difference this fork makes. It filters out small little bumps like shazzam!! Coming off small jumps and hops was so butter smooth. Locked out for a climb to finish the ride and was pleased with the stiffness over the Recon. What an upgrade, I can't wait to do more.
