08 SJ FSR Seat post diameter?

I'm thinking of putting a way setback seat post on my SJ to get my butt just a tad further back (to compensate just a bit for the long wheelbase) and so I'm looking at seat post diameters. My SJ has me stumped.

The diameter of my SJ seat post seems to be just a tad over 1 3/16 inch. That's a bit more than 30.2 mm.

    I'm looking at http://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...6&category=622

    There's a 29.4 mm and a 31.6 mm. Which one do I get?

One more observation: The SJ specs from the web site give the seat post *clamp* diameter as 31.8 mm.

    TIA

    4) I have an 08 stumpjumper HT. Mine is 30.9mm. On the specialized website, the stumpjumper fsr in comp, elite, and and expert is listed as 30.9 mm. I'm guessing you have the pro, pro carbon, or s-works, which doesn't have the diameter listed. But those are just minor details, as here's the main point of this presentation. Every mountain bike specialized makes uses a 30.9 mm.

    He is correct.

Quote from Specialized Website for '08 Stumpy FSR:
    "SEAT POST 2015 butted alloy, two bolt non-setback, 30.9 x 350/400mm"
