'07 Pink Epic, cool or not?

Do real men ride pink bikes? What are your opinions on the pink Epic Marathon frame that Specialized put out in 2007?

That bike is bad ass, no matter the color. You just gotta be really fast to ride pink.

I have the book Stumpjumper 25 years of mountain biking beside me and the original team stumpjumper bikes where pink

1984
Swagger .... Team Stumpjumper had plenty you'd have it to if you showed up to the starting line on a pink bike
They rode pink bikes with dropped bars and proper cycling shoes ....
1985 Specialized Stumpjumper Team not quite the same but almost

They had some big ones 1) riding pink bikes 2) drop handlebars
I have enough problems with them on my road bike let alone taking them off road

... and if we just ...

Is pink an ok colour for a "man's bike"?

Sure, no issues........................If your 'girlfriend' happens to be called Marvin, has a hairy back, a handlebar moustache and commonly frequents the "Blue Flamingo Bar" wearing leather Biker's apparel

I'm sure too that the drink bottle holder would come in handy for doubling-up as a "posy of flowers holder" to provide that certain finishing touch in-keeping with the bike

Doesn't the pink Epic signify a limited edition. My LBS had one for sale when I was looking for an Epic frame, he wanted 500 euro more as it was pink. I told him pink was not a selling point for a man.

If this a pink version of the limited edition that was for sale on Ebey recently then, HECK YES I would ride it. As long as you are confident in your manhood ride a pink bike. I know the one I saw was an awesome bike and would ride it in a heart beat. If someone is going to call you names or think you are "less" of a man for it, then I think they are the ones that should check there manhood.

Last summer I bought a black ano marathon frame. I could buy also pink that time. I hesitated a little bit and bought a black.
The price was the same, so I think the pink was not a limited frame, instead a limited color for a given time frame.

The pink is still available at some lbs in my country at very reduced price (and not at higher "limited" price), because - I think - it's hard to sell this color.

Anyway the pink is nice, it looks extreme at first, but not a real problem.
