Is 06 or newer Rockhopper for $200-300 doable?

I have been out of the biking arena for about 4 years now. I had a 06 Rockhopper in black that I loved but had to sell a couple years ago when I needed the $$.

Anyway, I'm back in the market for a bike and I'd like to spend no more than $300 but $200 would be better. I'm having a heck of a time finding a 06 or newer rockhopper locally. I'm not in a huge hurry, just thought I'd post my frustration up here.

Craigslist is your friend here. I was in the market for a rockhopper as well and found a few 08s around 350-450. You should be able to pick up and 06 for around 3.

Searching every day. Just not a HUGE market in Bakersfield, CA. Getting impatient cause I want/need to start riding.

Thinking of just getting a "Diamondback Overdrive V 29er 2012" at the Local Dick's Sporting Goods for $400.

^^^^ nope not backwards. Looks like a Manitou with the reversed bridge. The v-brake post are on the front of the fork as they should be. How much and what year?

OK, I thought I knew how to tell if they were backwards by the bridge. Guess not lol.

As for year, he never said, he wants $250 for it, but it's a 19" which is too big for me.

Found a 2011 Rockhopper Comp 17" with upgraded wheels for $400 down in Pasadena. Emailed the guy about it and he said price was going UP due to how many offers he has had. lol

I'll keep on looking I guess.
