    06 Big Hit II FSR

just got back from the local bike store, I ordered my 06 Big Hit 2 medium. Sucks they didnt have one in the shop, so I have to wait for Specialized to send it to my bike shop in Tampa. I'm guessing I'll have it mid next week. And there will deffinetly be pictures.

    Yes pictures. Lots of pictures.

I went into the shop about an hour ago to see how long it would take them to get me a BigHit 2 if I ordered it soon. They said a week to 10 days since they're in stock. Score! Now I just need to get my money in order and buy that sucker. Still figuring on a couple weeks before that though.

Yeah, it's a great bike, I've taken it on test rides, and it rides great. It is the new Big Hit that is most similar to last year's Big Hit FSR (I've got one). I can't wait to see pics.

Yea i got it...i've had it for acouple days now. I took it out for some dirt jumping today and it was great. Here are some pics I just took.

The Juicy 5 brakes are amasing. I only have 2 complaints so far. The rear derailuer was giving me trouble today, when i started pedaling hard it would try and shift on its own knocking me into a different ring on the cassette, i had someone at the LBS look at it and they said it might have been adjusted wrong, i havent ridden it since he adjusted it, that might have fixed it. And the other concern is the harsh topouts from the fork. I was told it was normal but I'm guessing it results from not being the best quality fork out there, i'll replace it with someone alittle nicer when i can afford it. But all in all its an amasing bike. Its been worth every dollar so far.

I thought about that before I ordered it, it was actually a huge consideration, but its really not bad in person.

Ive seen the stickers in person and they are worse.

You might contact these guys and see if they can help you out if you want.

That looks really nice. I don't know what the gripe really is with the downtube decal, I mean it's white and a little punk looking but it's not those big dumb cheese-tastic flames from the 2005 model at least.

By the looks of it they decided NOT to give you the telescoping seatpost?

Also, about the fork... The top-out and overly quick rebound is how the Drop Off forks are from the factory. If you download the OEM Drop Off Triple manual from Marzocchi.com you can see there's an internal adjuster for the rebound to slow it down. Also, you can add more oil to make it more bottom-out resistant, and change the oil weight to make the rebound slower as well. So there's things to tinker with until you can afford a proper 888RC2X. Give it a shot.

The frame looks a lot nicer and not so damn ugly from every angle except from the side. I'm happy that I'll have mine by the beginning part of April.
