06-07 Stumpjumper FSR Comp & Kronolog drop post ??

Will this combination work with Specialized's "pierced" downtube frame? I'm in the midst of rehab from Spinal Fusion (neck) surgery and need to get off my hardtail and back onto a squishy bike. Surgeon said. I'm not in a position to buy new at this point so used is where I'm looking. I really want to be able to add a Kronolog seat post to my rig and after having an '05 Enduro Comp with the old frame style, the shock gets in the way of the drop. I've never had the next iteration of Stumpy frames with the pierced down tube OR a drop post. Is there enough room for a drop tube to drop on this style of frame? I have an opportunity to go see a SJ FSR Comp and possibly do a trade. Thought I'd ask first before I waste my time. TIA

My buddy has a medium 2007 SJ and he had to go with a 75mm command post . Anything longer and it would interfere. I would assume the 125mm Kronolog would be too long unless you ride an XL frame. Then it might clear.

Thanks for your response and suggestion. I rode the bike today. It's an '07 and it's nice, very low miles and all of it easy use by a guy my age (51). He bought it new and had all the receipts and paperwork. I did call my LBS since I hadn't received any feed back here and they suggested the same, that it wouldn't work on a Medium/Small frame. They did not offer the possibility of a Command Post working. That's good to hear and I will follow up on that suggestion because I think I'm going to make the trade on this bike for a little vintage Yamaha Enduro I restored.

The 75mm Command post is better than no dropper post! It doesnt drop super low, but it gets out of the way for the DH sections! Those 07 models ride really well and pedal great.
