Percy Warner Trail Nashville, TN

This is the moment you have all been waiting for. Metro Parks (Awesome!) is going to have the temporary parking and trailhead finished for us to go out and enjoy what could be the best thing to happen to the Mountain bike community here in Nashville in a very long time.

We will have a tent with membership info for those that need to renew your memberships or for your buddies that need to join for the first time.

Look for the signs just past Cheekwood. There will be a NEW gravel driveway leading to Temporary trailhead link:

After riding we will roll down to the Gran Fondo Trail & Fitness parking lot off of Hwy 70 for a 4:00pm social gathering with swag, souvenir T-shirts, etc... There will be drinks and a food truck if enough of you sign up....SO MAKE SURE YOU CLICK HERE TO RSVP FOR POST RIDE SOCIAL:forms/d/1wtpvKg0CNm737ztld_FbQO1sKDtDOyeBNJAQJ02 zE0E/viewform

Thanks to Gran Fondo Trail & Fitness, Yazoo Brewing Company, Swiftwick SocksSingletrack Trails & ProGold Bikes for supporting this Event!

Please share and invite everyone you know to this event.

    Missing information:

This is Sunday, October 27th. The ride/opening stuff is at 2pm.

I'm going to add a little for those not really familiar with exactly what's going on here. Over a decade ago, mountain bikers were thrown out of Percy Warner Park, rather unceremoniously. PWP is the second largest metropolitan maintained park in the US - the only one larger is Central Park, NYC. So it was a big deal to be thrown out. It's an even bigger deal, after all this time, after a lot of work, by a lot of different people, to have established a relationship that allowed this trail to happen, letting us back into the park.

MidTN SORBA has spent many hours working in other parks, demonstrating that we (mountain bikers) are a community who care about the resources available to us. MidTN SORBA has built, and is building a lot of trails to hold up their end of the bargain to get these trails. These were professionally built (SingleTrack Trails) and the bill footed by Metro.

I cannot stress this enough - please, please be considerate of the conditions of these trails. They have just been built, and are not weathered in yet, and as such, if it is at all wet, they will be very soft, and we all need to stay off of them, even you, standing there looking at the trails thinking...just one rider won't hurt them...because people are watching, and we have to set an example. So come out for the opening. Enjoy the trails. But please, please please, do it responsibly.
