    Working Vaca In FLA...ride area?

going to Ft Lauderdale tomorrow for a few weeks for a working Vacation...

thinking might take a day next weekend and find a ride...

1st where to ride reasonably close to Ft Laud
2nd rent a bike? don't even care if it's a crappy little $300 hardtail to rent, just something to ride

    any info is awesome

    Thanks

there are a couple of places reasonably close. Depending on where you stay in the city will depend on your answer but I think the closest best answer would be Markham park which from what I know has 9 1/4 miles of trail and some pretty good technical sections. As far as a rental I only personally know of one shop that does it but it is in Pompano Beach, The bikes the rent out tend to be older but updated to modern parts such as a jamis hardtail from early 00' that has a rs reba and disk brakes. If you're ok with the drive it is Mountain Bike Shop Repairs - Deerfield Beach, Across from Quiet Waters | Jim's Bicycles - Boca Raton, Pompano Beach .

Well Markham is in the right direction but not the bike shop. There is also a few in miami that would be on your way like Oleta then. I'm sure someone here knows a bike shop you can go to i'm sorry it's just not me.

If you are going south head to Virginia Key in Miami, great trail... others will have to chime in on local rentals though.
