    Rock Chunk Vacation Advice

So, I've got just over one week till my next week of vacay, and the plan is to hit some new trails, and couple old favorites, with the primary focus of the trip being rocky and technical trails. I'll likely spend two to three days in Tennessee, and am looking for advice.

The tentative plan, leaving from Michigan, with one day per stop, looks like this:

West Branch SP in Ravenna, OH
    Ellicottville, NY; south of Buffalo
    Moraine SP; North of Pittsburgh
    Yellow Creek in Indiana, PA
White Oak Mtn in Collegedale, TN
    Raccoon Mtn in Chattanooga
Schooner Trace at Brown Co, Indiana

    1. If you have suggestions for additions or omissions, post 'em up. I've not ridden Yellow Creek, White Oak, or Raccoon. Are these my best options?

    2. The drive from PA to Chattanooga is 9 hours. Would love a destination worthy ride around halfway. Perhaps between Charleston and Lexington, or in that general vicinity.

Ellicottville is a bit out of the way. I may omit that in favor of something else on the way if something intrigues. I really want to check out the stuff by Little Rock City there, though. I've run Moraine in the rain. Sick boulder tech, but I want to hit it dry. Brown County breaks up the return trip, and cleaning Schooner is a benchmark goal for me.

    What would you ride?

Less than 2 hours away from Chattanooga, is Monte Sano in Huntsville, AL. Very very rocky and technical throughout...you won't be disappointed if you make the trip over.

It might be worth your while to deviate through VA on the way down, take 81 through Harrisonburg. Lots of good stuff there.

Raccoon is a must...lots of chunk and beautiful scenery. Also, there is 5 pts which is about 30 minutes away from raccoon. While you are here, might as well hit Chilhowee and Ocoee about an hour from Chattanooga.
    Too wet to ride!

Thanks for the suggestions. I just hit Tanasi, and should have hit ChillHoeWe a month ago on my last vacay. Will look at Five Points and Sano as well.
