There is lots of good riding in FL. Florida is a big state, so it would help if you can narrow down where you'll be. I've not heard of Estampida, and can't find it on a map.

It depends a lot on what you like to ride...I live in Gainesville and there is a decent biking community. Some very helpful shops such as Mr. Goodbike, Chain Reaction, and Spin Cycle can help you out with local riding. For offroad we have San Felasco and The Rock trails. For road we have tons of gorgeous country road and then the Hawthorne trail. Just South of here is Reddick and then Santos, two major mountain biking venues which I would highly recommend. I believe the Alafia trail would be closest to where you are staying but I'm not sure. Hope you have a nice time!

Yep, Emerald Island is in Kissimmee, right next to the Mouse House (Disney). I am not at all familiar with riding in the Orlando area, but from what I hear there isn't a lot. However, there are some great trails not to far away.

Santos http://www.omba.org is a great place with 50-60 miles of trails, a Huge Freeride park and something for all levels of riders. It is about an hour away up the Florida Turnpike. I'm not familiar with the Bike shops in the area, but the OMBA site listed above has links to them.

Alafia River State Park http://www.swampclub.org is about an hour away just south of Tampa. It has some of the most technical trails in the area. Lots of fun. There is a bike shop pretty close, A.J.'s Bikes and Boards that rents bikes http://www.ajsbikesandboards.com

Hope you have a great trip

the closest trails to Kissimmee are in Lakeland, which is about 45-60 minutes down the road from WDW, South on Interstate 4. Carter Road Park is public and features a mix of fairly normal singletrack and very difficult ridge trails including short but very steep drops and narrow, rocky/rooty trails 20 along 15-20 foot ledges. Something for everyone.

the Trail of Experience is a private trail, similar in some ways to Carter Road but privately leased by the Ridge Riders club. If the timing is right, you can probably get someone to show you around but you must be accompianed by a club member for insurance reasons. Visit the message board below for more informatio and to find a guide.

Directions to both trails can be found at http://www.ridgeriders.net .

The santos trails are next closest, probably 90 minutes from Kissimmee. I live in Orlando so if you need better directions or clarification, post up or PM me. Enjoy your trip.
