Raccoon Mountain Phase 1 Map Complete

I have higher Res maps and want to find an agreeable format that we can stick with for other trails as well.

Check the Trail Guide for more info as it comes out
    http://www.sorbachattanooga.org/trai...te=8&trail=367

Raccoon Mountain Phase 1 has 15.5 miles of singletrack.

East Overlook parking is between the Yellow and Brown lines.
The Visitor Center is near where the Black and Blue lines come together.

Brown Line - East Brow Trail
Green Line - Switch Yard Connector
Black Line - Grind Stone Ridge
    Blue Line - MegaWatt
Orange Line - Laurel Point & River Gorge Trail
Yellow Line - South Rim Trail aka Electric Avenue (This is what the SORBA work day built)
Red Line - Table Rock aka Small Intestine Trail (SIT Trail)

So, can you ride here if it rains a bit? I am in town on Thursday, April 26 and need to kill some time. I have heard some good things about riding here....just want to make sure that riding damp trails isn't going to cause major damage. Anyone up for riding around noon?

If I had to pick I'd go to Booker T if it's wet. Most of Raccoon Mtn drains very well though but is definitely more dirt/clay than rock like Booker T. With as dry as it has been and as quick as the rain has come down I'd say you'd be ok at Raccoon Mtn.

We should do an Ergon Demo at Raccoon Mtn through one of the shops sometime.

I am in Ocoee, TN right now....need to check out of the hotel at 11:00. It's not raining here yet, but it looks like it soon will. I can do an underground demo today if a few folks want to get some riding in.

I've been riding myself into the ground in this area for the last week. Lots of good stuff!!!

    Trey -

Got my first ride around the loop last night with Corey. Good stuff. We skipped the SIT because of time, but what we saw was a blast. It's super cool to be able to bust out 15 miles of singletrack after work without doing more than one lap!

I bet the level of MTBers in Chatt goes up a notch thanks to this trail system.

Any previews for phase II? (Sorry I even asked... )

Thanks for all the hard work!

Trey, I just picked up the June issue of Bike. Nice write up on the Chattanooga trails. Good job! I've added Raccoon Mtn to my Must-Do list for this summer.
