What are you looking for? There are only two XC trails in the metro Orlando area. Soldiers Creek, which is in Winter Springs near Sanford and the Econ Forest (AKA Snowhill) in Chulouta. Both are about 20-30 min from the Orlando city limits. Soldiers has some stunts but nothing major and is a short loop, only about 1.5 miles. Snowhill has XC trails, all novice level... but has 15+ miles of trail. Either can be fun, but neither are worth driving out of your way. If you venture out of town there's much better riding. Santos, Alafia, Loyce Harp, Balm Boyette, to name a few, all of which are top notch trails and all are around 60-80 min drive from Orlando. See the trail review section of this site for details and directions or pm me if you want more info...

After perusing the reviews, it also seems that Spruce Creek near New Smyrna has some good stuff, too.

Glad to hear it! I'm often in nearby Deltona (girlfriend is from there) and I'm trying to find places to ride. Any parts of it good for beginners like her?

The entire trail system is a big loop. It is good for both beginners and advanced because the faster you go the more advanced it gets. We are working on building some short advanced only spur trails in the near future.

Spruce Creek is a really nice ride. The bailouts back to the parking lot allow you to ride alot or a little.

I have been following the project and the recent updates are really encouraging. That link didn't work for me, however. I've been following the Facebook page for OMBP at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Orlan...21589457912716

The last couple of times I was in Orlando, I drove to Santos and Carter. Loved both places.

Just went to Chuck Lennon Park in Deleon Springs last week. They have done a lot of work out there. Very nice trail if your in the area. Total about 5.3 miles. Bring your mosquito repellent though!!
