Good job! NEW Florida MTB Trail Status Website!

    Florida MTB Trail Status

Check it out. I'm gathering updates from trail builders/regulars every day and posting them for everyone's convenience.. Just started two days ago

I'm trying to get central and northern FL trails involved so if you can help that would be great and only make this tool that much more functional.

    Thanks

Thanks guys! It's somewhat of an uphill battle trying to get riders to send in reports but they're slowly coming in.

Pretty sad someone took the time to use the negative rep feature on here and comment to stop with the spam. Whoever you are feel free to speak up here instead of hiding behind something where I can't see the username of who left the negative rep.

I'd really like to hear more about how this is spam when it's a site that I paid for out of my own pocket, volunteer a lot of my own personal time updating, only to help out fellow mountain bikers with determining current trail conditions at our parks with absolutely nothing in return to me. Whoever you are, please speak up.

I doubt seriously the unsigned neg repper will come forward to actually discuss or debate anything. If a moderator thinks/thought it was spam...it would have already been pulled. For the record, I think it is a good idea and can or will be useful.

+rep to you for going to the trouble

    Good job!

Hi Stuckinmuck this is a great idea to post it up here too. I have seen this on FB in the Markham Park page. Right now Markham is wet but OPEN. We did a few fixes this AM getting ready for the race this Weekend..

Would you like to receive a text message every time there is an update to your favorite trail in FL?

A lot of awesome changes going on at wheretocrank.com.

The new website is going to be constructed soon which will also make it easier to sign up for multiple parks at one time, however I wanted to provide this new trail update service for everyone asap. Doesn't cost you a penny! No ads/spam etc. on your phone and only important updates will be sent out. Takes just a few seconds to sign up. Never miss out on an important update/trail closure/race etc!!!:

To receive Virginia Key trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/Aof85N

For Markham Park trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/a8tgk9

For Amelia Earhart Park trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/dL9OuX

For Oleta River State Park trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/dnNJ3D

To receive Alafia Trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/PRHPKr

For Quietwaters Park trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/30LyYY

For Santos Park trail updates please sign up using this link:

    http://trunc.us/K7I0Qe

For the record, all of your contact information is 100% safe. Txtsignal.com (The service wheretocrank.com is using and is being provided to us by a fellow MTBer Matt Donavan) is the only service that doesn't sell/redistribute your data. So feel safe in signing up.

This covers most parks that I frequently get updates from, however there is a link available for every park in FL. Hopefully this will help encourage everyone to continue sending in trail reports to update@wheretocrank.com and grow awareness for each park. If you have any questions, please let me know.

How do we submit info? I go to Carter Raod Park daily and I could update almost daily if need be.

If you send an email to that address, I copy/paste onto the page. If there is interest I'll create a special Text message group for that particular park and a mass text to everyone apart of that group. The new site is udner construction and i'm trying to link that all up so it's less work for me, but I don't mind it one bit! Free for everyone.
