    Munny Sokol

Any advice on this one? Plan to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend and already ridden at Lake Lurleen. Thought I would give Munny Sokol a try. Thoughts? How well is the trail marked?

I think it would be best to ride with the locals. There are several trails that connect. Can't remember how well it's marked. They have a map in a kiosk at the trail head or parking lot to guide you but I found it was more fun to follow the locals. If you can make it I think they ride every Tues and Thur at 5:00 or 5:30 PM. and on Saturday mornings around 8:00. Check out this local site for more info and maybe a contact. Hope this helps http://westalmtb.org/#

I agree with 00sable, try to ride with some locals.
The trails are fairly well marked, but lots of unmarked short cuts or rogue trails.
Here is some images and info that might be of interest.

Just checked out that map. Looks like colored spaghetti. Reminds me of Tampa's Wilderness Trail/Flatwoods trail system. I recall getting lost the first couple of times out there...

Nah man just ride it! At any one point you are less than a mile from the car so if/when you do get lost you get out pretty quick. Looooots of twisty rooty fun (reminds me of flat rock park in Columbus, GA a little) so great for technical skills.

The USA Triathlon Nationals are in Tuscaloosa this weekend so be sure and check them out on Jack Warner Pkwy (close to campus along the river).
