Looking to buy a 29er! Suggestions please
Ok so I'm probably selling the enduro as I'm getting old and need more of a cross country bike and better climber. Please give me some input on some good 29ers to look at I'm trying to stay under $3000 and am looking to purchase in early April 2013. I'm ready to start test riding and shopping around. My ears are ready!

Oh, you have to give us more than that. You want a hard tail, or FS? You leave it like this, and I'm recommending you a single speed, because they're awesome.

Somethin racey? Stumpy Carbon Comp or a Niner...
Somethin a bit more trail oriented? Carve with a new set of wheels

Test road the giant trance x 29er 1 today. Nice riding bike. Going to test ride a rumblefish next week. See what happens

Check the Razzos at Pricepoint.com
No, YOU don't understand. You're making an ass of yourself for all of eternity.

Myself, I would also be testing 650b unless you are a pretty tall person.

I know a great many people who could not be considered tall (<6') that are extemely happy on 29" wheels. The "29ers only work for tall people" myth has been dispelled for quite some time.
I work at a bike shop. Trek/Fisher - Kona - Mirraco

Yep 650 arent getting great reviews though. At least not what I thought they would get. But did test ride the trance again. Think thats my next purchase. Juts fits me great and is really comfortable. Oh love the Blunderbus name. Great album too! PEACE!

Are you in FL? I feel it suits the terrain here great. I got a Trance 29er about a month ago and it has handled anything I can throw at it, the bike is above my capabilities. The amount of energy conserved on a 29er should be taken into consideration as well. I can ride faster for longer, sounds like a plus to me.
I was upset I demoed one... because the price bracket went up. :P

Yep. Curious, were you at Chuck Lennon park a couple of weeks ago? A couple of my riding buddys said they saw someone riding the new giant x2. One dude has a rumblefish and the other has a niner all carbon! Thanks for the review the more I read about this bike the more im sure about buying it. Have to ride sometime.

I'd look into the Specialized Camber line. 29er Full suspension starting at $1900 with the venerable FSR suspension technology.
