I am desperately in need of advice!!
We had a group headed to the Harrisonburg Va. area this week. That area was just hit with quite a bit of snow...pretty much making the trails unrideable.
We are scrambling to salvage our vacation. We have the opportunity to stay in a cabin near Oneida Tn (free of charge..we will lose our deposit on the Va cabin)
We usually vacation in the Dupont/Pisgah areas of NC, so we are used to and enjoy those kinds of trails. Big climbs, screaming downhills, with some rocks and roots sprinkled in (we are mainly XC riders...no of us do more than 2' drops...wrong bikes for that). We are intermediate to advanced riders, in a good a shape as you can be in winter.
I am looking for trail suggestions. We are willing to drive an hour to hour and a half each direction from Oneida to ride (we are considering heading towards Knoxville)
I have not had time to do much research since this is last minute.
We want to ride on Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday-Sat. We prefer to leave camp in the morning, ride, break for lunch, then ride 2-4 more hours. Basically, we like all day epics.
Any help would be appreciated!!!
