Graham Swamp
Seems like all the trails are in great shape! Rode Carter Road with my friend Shogun and a new rider Dave! That trail rocks! Its been a while and I was worked pretty good with those two guys but man it was a sweet trail! Also I saw the legendary Shogun take a spill into the gator infested water there! Sorry Sho had to share! Thanks for the workout Sho and Dave! Im ready for more. Im hoping Graham gets one more rain before this weekend as Id like to try it out again.

Rode it twice this weekend and it rode killer. Even without rain it is not as soft a summer time. The cooler weather keeps the trail tread tackier, dew sticks around longer, and overall does not get quite as dry, unless there are some stiff winds.
Get on it even if it does not rain this week!

And then head over the bridge and do a couple laps at Malacompra. Its less than 10 minutes from GS and a lot of fun too.

Very easy. Leave the Graham Swamp parking lot and take a left on Colbert, then right on the Palm Coast Parkway. Cross the bridge ($2 toll but only on the trip out.) and then turn left to get to A-1-A. Go north about a mile or so, park at Bing's Landing on the left. The entrance to the trail is across from Bings on the other side of A-1-A It literally takes less than 10 min to get there from GS.
Be sure and check out "Cloud Nine", very tech kinda reminicent of Carter Rd but with a small FR section...

How would GS and Malaompra be compared going to Santos. Looking for a weekend trip from South FL. Planning on Santos, but we have all been there quite a few times and there are no camping spots available at Alafia the weekend we are planning on going.

There really is no good comparison other than that they are both a lot of fun, but they are so different that its really apples and oranges. That said...
Graham and Mala are both loops, 6.5 and 5.5 miles respectively. Graham has lots of small elevation changes that make for a good workout, and a great mix of small jumps and little features that make it a lot of fun. The terrain is very unique, there are even a few coquina rock gardens. It flows really well. Mala is fairly flat and rooty, with little features here and there, pretty mellow, but has a tech section called cloud nine that is similar to the fingers at Carter rd. Including a few really fun lines...
What I usually do is a lap or two at GS and then head over and do a couple at Mala. They are so close its a perfect combo. Bottom line, if you haven't been you have to check them out.
