    First aid kit at boyette

Anyone know what the deal is with the random first aid kit in the trees at boyette? When you finish the climb after big drop, if you look straight ahead in the trees you'll see it.. Kinda weird location.

How big is the big drop? Maybe that's why....

Ill keep an eye when I get a chance to get up there for the first time.

I know exactly what you're referring to. It's slightly to the right of the connector trail that's across from the Big Drop exit (Looking that direction after exiting Big Drop). You can see it mounted to a tree slightly off trail.

I've never gone over to check it out though...

Yup. That's the one. We saw it yesterday and checked it out. Definitely new. Loaded with gauze and band aids and such. Not sure what the deal is though since it's in such an odd location and is only held up by a piece of string.

Cool! We were thinking someone put it there sorta for themselves since it's off the path. Great idea to have it out there, but maybe we can relocate it to the exit to big drop. It's a large area where a lot of riders tend to meet. Might make the kit more "known" for a safety reason. Eitherway, good idea and thanks!

yeah, i'd have to say THANKS to the person who trekked it out there! since you (the OP) have ridden at boyette, you know it will be a LONG walk back to the car if something happens to you or your bike. not a bad idea on a trail sys that large and isolated imo...kudos.
