    Ellijay riding

    Hey all,
I'm gonna be in Ellijay from the 23rd to the 28th and was wondering what are the must do rides there. I'm also wondering if there are any group rides that I could tag along with. I've done research and know that there is a bunch of trails but just want the locals opinions. Also if someone could point me in the direction of the best map for the area that would be great.
    Thanks for the help

It doesn't get better than Stanley and Flat Creek. The rest of the Aska stuff is pretty fun too. As long as you like long climbs and screaming downhills, that's where you want to go.

The Pinhotti's are meh, compared to WNC.

Let me know what you think of the trails. I will be down there next month.

Bear Creek, pinhoti 1, pinhoti 2, and pinhoti 3 seems like a sweet ride.

I have never ridden up there, but I hear these trails are the best in the state.

Bear creek and the Pinhoti's are awesome. Also, Bear creek is great for shuttling if you want to avoid the long, slow climb to the top.

Bear Creek and the Pinhoti's, Stanley Gap (which we ride from Rock Creek side) Flat Creek, Green Mtn all great rides. Jake and Bull Mtn's just a little southeast also good. And the river, loop red and white and boy scout maybe the longest 6 miles you will ever ride. Stop by Cartecay Bike Shop to hook up for maps and rides someone is always ready to ride (Mike). And they are right lots of climbing and good down hills to follow! Really some of the best trails out there!
