New question here. Coming to Tampa

Hi all. I have a ahem “business trip” in early Feb. While everyone else is golfing I want to ride. Is there any good riding? Any good shops that I can rent a bike? I 29’er would be great but a 26” would also do just fine.

    Thanks

    DZ

Alafia River is a good ride. Lots of rollercoaster-style short ups and downs, roots, and weird wildlife. I had a great time there, and there's a shop that rents only 20 minutes away.

    Alafia River

Great suggestion! Rode it today and had a blast. The guys at AJ’s are top notch. I did not think that I was going to be able to ride during my trip and did not bring a thing with me. They hooked me up with a Specialized Enduro, helmet, bolted on some flat pedals and a water bottle cage. All for $40.

Totally different terrain from So Cal and the roots were fun to navigate. Kinda spooky riding by yourself with all of the creatures out there. Once I almost landed on an Armadillo (looked like a root). Also I got off the bike to get a drink and almost stepped on a snake.

The guys at the shop told me that they ride it at night.

Thanks for all of your help!

    DZ
