Any riders in the Columbus GA area

I am new to the area and I'm looking to find some people to ride the trails

I'm moving there from WA State in December. Have you ridden flat rock yet?

I haven't ridden it yet but the trails on Ft. Benning are pretty good! There are some pretty good jumps but it is still a xc trail

Flat Rock and the trails just east of the golf course on Dixie on post are both pretty decent for their location.

But, for some real fun, I'd suggest heading on up to Dahlonega. Pinhoti, etc, are amazing. I'll be coming down from Drum to race the Snake Creek Gap Time Trial series this winter.

There are hundreds of miles of great trails upstate, in the mountains, with an awesome amount of diversity. Butter smooth, bermed out trails for railing, and some trails with massive rocks that require some real finesse.

I've heard rumors of a trail system across the river in Alabama, but I only rode Flat Rock and the trails on post. Stop by the bike shop in downtown Columbus; they should be able to give you more info.

The Columbus area has four official trails within 40-45 minutes of Columbus.

Columbus, GA - Flat Rock Park
Fort Benning, GA - No official trail name I am aware of
West Point, GA - Lakeside Trails
Auburn, AL - Chewacla State Park

Not sure what type of riding you're into but these four trails should satisfy your local needs unless your into super technical or down hill/free ride type stuff.

The Trail of Tears I don't think gets much attention anymore but was a great technical ride. This is the one just across the river from Columbus mentioned in the previous post.

Ghost Town is a great trail but on private land in the Salem, AL area. You'll need connections to ride here but worth it.
