I'd like to see a bright orange paint color for the Bullit. Mine is black. My fellow riders all have different colors. That's the only way to tell our rides apart! Of course, they all look like blurs as they pass, so it probably doesn't matter what color they are.....
You do realize that the water and mud weigh more than a paint job,
right.
How come your bike pics do seem to always involve water? Is that
a "shore" thing?

xmas morning minus a week so I could get it built up for
Arizona. Not at all sure about the 5th coil. Rode it a few
times and then swapped it for a tried n true vanilla rc. I'll
play with the 5th when I get back but I have had less than
good luck with Progressive mobike shocks (though VERY
GOOD customer service on same, but I'd rather not have
to use customer service....)
I tried an 03 Manitou firefly on it and REALLY liked the fork
but it is too long for my riding style, several times the wheel
was in the air instead of guiding the front of the bike up the
chute I was trying to climb. Prob'ly not more than 15mm longer
than the vanilla rlc but enough to go from perfect to not so.
The firelfly and the 5th are on the gemini now, officially my
"big bike"
I wish the rlc was as plush and quiet as the firefly, but that
would mean we didn't have to keep trying new stuff in search
of the perfect ride.
I feel like a dweeb having sold an official 4-bar for an old fashion
single pivot, but I really like 'em for my (old and slow) riding style.

pfffft
I've had good luck with my coil 5th (and I had one of the very early models) the only service I've had on mine is the annual oil change when I sent it in while I was on vacation riding my xc bike.
Try the recommended settings from Santa Cruz on your Heckler. They were very close to what I like to run.
I have limited time on Fox forks, and even less on a Manitou Minute.
I just got a white Bullit. It weighs 33 lbs. It climbs great and descends even better! Although I'm only running a Psylo (5 inch travel), It can take some pretty good drops and gnarly chutes (Sherman Slider is on my shopping list)
No i was asking about the white and the black/red. I think they are very beautiful with the straight top tube. But small is too "small" for me. Bad news
Did your Bullit come like that or did you have it painted? Looks cool. I'm the guy with the white Bullit (small). I just put 8" rotors on my bike for our upcoming trip to Bootleg canyon. Gobs of stopping power now......
Everyone knows that Scuba Yellow is the best color! Look how fast it looks, and it's still on the trainer. This is my first time back in the saddle after tearing my MCL and dislocating my elbow on a Boxing day ride. I know, I know, I should be wearing a helmet.
